Ilwaco Hook & Ladder Company provides fire suppression, rescue, emergency medical care and hazardous materials response on behalf of the City of Ilwaco, WA.  The Company also administers fire safety inspections and education programs aimed at reducing fire and medical emergencies.


Department Objectives & Purpose

The objectives and purpose of the association are:

  • To preserve and protect life and property, especially during emergency situations, within Ilwaco City and surrounding communities and to promote the civic and social welfare of the community.
  • To provide a means whereby the firefighters of the association may exchange ideas and experiences thus bettering themselves in their duties as firefighters.
  • To promote education in fire protection and fire safety within the City of Ilwaco and surrounding communities.
  • To render assistance and services in the prosecution or defense of any interest common to its members.
